Cutting hair according to the lunar calendar is an ancient practice based on how the phases of the moon affect hair growth and even life events. During this period, the energy is especially favourable for changes related to appearance. However, from the 16th to the 26th day of the lunar calendar it is better to avoid haircuts, as the Moon is waning and this can slow down hair growth or weaken its structure.
Extremely negative days for haircuts are days of eclipses - both lunar and solar. In such moments energy is considered unstable, and any changes can lead to undesirable consequences. In addition, it is undesirable to get a haircut on church holidays, as it can disrupt harmony and affect health and well-being.
Interestingly, some astrologers claim that baldness in adult men may be due to the fact that their first haircuts as children were performed on inappropriate days, such as on a waning moon. This could have affected the structure of the hair and its ability to grow in the future.
